What is a 3 Legacies
Meeting?
A 3 Legacies Meeting is a meeting that studies our 3 legacies the 12
Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts.
When doing the 12 Steps we read a couple of Paragraphs from our basic
text the book Alcoholics Anonymous (Nickname: Big Book) and then
discus those paragraphs where each person
present has the right to
share on the reading, only loving crosstalk is allowed.
When doing the 12 Traditions we read a couple of Paragraphs from the book
(12 & 12) Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions (the Traditions essays
section only) and then discus those paragraphs where each person
present has the right to share on the reading, only loving
crosstalk is allowed.
When doing the 12 Concepts we read a couple of Paragraphs from our
Service manual (the Concepts essays section only) and then discus
those paragraphs where each person
present has the right to share on
the reading, only loving crosstalk is allowed.
We do a Step reading from our basic text the book Alcoholics Anonymous
when that step is finished we the do the corresponding traditions
reading (i.e. Step 1 corresponding tradition reading Tradition 1)
from the 12 & 12. We then do the Corresponding Concept reading.
Going through all 12 Steps, 12 Traditions & 12 Concepts till finished
then restarting again at the 1st Step readings out of the
Big Book.
Topic Meeting using the AA Conference approved book the: Beginners Book where Members are asked to try and share on the topic read that day.
